Burger King® Scholars Program
The HAVE IT YOUR WAY® Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the new and improved 2011 BURGER KING® Scholars Program. To date, the BURGER KING® Scholars Program has awarded more than $14 million to high school seniors and employees across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and the program continues to grow. This year alone we awarded $1.2 million in scholarships.
In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we have made significant enhancements to the program to offer our employees and students in our community more benefits.
HERE’S WHAT’S NEW FOR YOU!
- All Company and Franchise restaurant, corporate and field employees, children of employees and high school seniors are eligible to apply.
- Franchisees that fund scholarships can designate them to their franchise group employees and to their local communities.
- Now there are more ways to use the scholarships:
- Accredited educational programs, including computer and language courses
- Accredited colleges, universities or vocational/technical schools
- In addition to the $1,000 awards, there are more scholarships than ever including:
- $25,000 “KING” National Award
- $5,000 Regional Awards
FALL FUNDRAISER
Be sure to visit your local participating BURGER KING® restaurant throughout the month of October to make a $1 donation in support of the BURGER KING® Scholars Program and receive a coupon booklet with seven free BK® Value Menu-sized fry coupons and one small Coca-Cola fountain drink product coupon. Your $1 donation makes a difference!
