"The BK™ Family Fund is a way for the entire BURGER KING®
family to help support those that run our businesses and
help us grow our brand everyday."

- John Chidsey, CEO Burger King Corporation

OVERVIEW

The BKtrademark Family Fund was established in October 2004 as a way to provide support to members of the BURGER KINGtrademark family in their time of need. In July 2008, the HAVE IT YOUR WAYtrademark Foundation adopted the BKtrademark Family Fund as one of two premier programs, assuming the administration and fundraising responsibilities of the Fund.

The BKtrademark Family Fund provides financial support in the form of grants to employees of Burger King Corporation ("BKC"), its subsidiaries and franchisees who are victims of disasters or other emergency hardship situations, including floods, fires, riots, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and similar large-scale events, as well as emergency hardship caused by illness, death, accident, violent crime or other types of personal injury. Grants from the Fund are made to assist with immediate, short-term needs of the affected employee. Grants are not intended to replace personal or homeowner's insurance, federal disaster relief or other types of aid, but rather to assist on an immediate and short-term basis when other sources of assistance are not available.

Grant decisions are made by the BKtrademark Family Fund Allocation Committee in each global region. The Committee is composed of no more than five (5) members, with no more than forty percent (40%) of the members coming from the ranks of BKC senior management (meaning vice president or above). The Allocation Committee will endeavor to turn around the applications as soon as possible.
